It can cause some minor side effects such as belching or gas.
Patients with Renal calculi, hypercalciuria, hypophosphatemia, hypercalcemia.

Calcium supplementation can increase the risk of having too much calcium in the blood in people with poor kidney function. Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.

This medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

It may interact with antibiotics such as Ceftriaxone, ciprofloxacin, annonacin , norfloxacin, sparfloxacin, trovafloxacin, demeclocycline , minocycline and tetracycline. Some bisphosphonates include alendronate, etidronate, risedronate, tiludronate, and others.
